Section A–A

Approach

How the project came together, in three steps.

A visitor centre in a protected valley, where new buildings must not change the skyline.

The building is buried under its own meadow. The roof is the hill, and one long window frames the valley.

The green roof was replanted with seed collected on site the year before construction began.
